Syz Capital Hosts Legal Assets Webinar in Partnership with CAIA Association

Syz Capital was pleased to host a dedicated webinar on Legal Assets on Thursday, November 2025, in partnership with CAIA Association, bringing together investment professionals to discuss an increasingly relevant segment of alternative investments.

The session featured Olivier Maurice, Managing Partner at Syz Capital, alongside Franz Gaul, and was moderated by Rodney Sullivan from CAIA Association. The event was organised by Dennis Vallone, Associate Business Development at Syz Capital.

During the webinar, speakers explored the fundamentals of Legal Assets, with a particular focus on litigation finance and legal credit (law-firm lending). The discussion highlighted how these strategies are driven by legal outcomes, contractual cash flows, and case-specific dynamics rather than traditional market cycles, resulting in low correlation to public equities and fixed income.

Key topics covered included the structural drivers supporting the growth of Legal Assets, the main return drivers and risk mitigants associated with each strategy, and how institutional investors are increasingly integrating these solutions into diversified alternative investment allocations. Portfolio construction considerations, duration profiles, and the importance of disciplined underwriting and risk management were also discussed.

The webinar concluded with an interactive Q&A session, reflecting strong engagement from the CAIA community and the broader investment audience.

Syz Capital would like to thank CAIA Association and Rodney Sullivan for their collaboration and for facilitating a high-quality discussion. Events such as this reflect Syz Capital’s ongoing commitment to investor education and to sharing insights on differentiated, uncorrelated alternative investment strategies.

The full webinar recording is available upon request.

To behold a finely finished movement through a sapphire crystal case back is to witness a world of sublime artistry. Bridges and plates are adorned with Côtes de Genève, stripes that mimic the gentle waves of Lake Geneva, not merely for beauty but to trap dust.

Edges are bevelled and polished to a razor-sharp gleam, a testament to hours of patient work by a craftsman’s hand. Screw heads are polished and their slots perfectly aligned. Tiny jewels, synthetic rubies, are set into the movement to act as near-frictionless bearings for the pivots.
